DELICIOUS SCREENING IN WASHINGTON, DC
We have just returned from a wonderful screening in Washington, DC presented in partnership with the Alliance Française de Washington, the Goethe Institut, and the National Family Farm Coalition (NFFC). The screening was a partial fundraiser for the NFFC.
Our huge thanks to Kathy Ozer, Executive Director of the NFFC, for her wonderful work in putting this event together, including a spectacular dessert tasting prior to the screening with treats generously donated by Bread Furst, Restaurant Nora, Firefly Farms, and Bread & Chocolate, as well as Keswick Creamery, and Green Plate Catering.
Our thanks too to Norma Broadwater of the Goethe Institut, who did a beautiful introduction to the evening and to Sarah Diligenti, Executive Director of the Alliance Française, who, in addition to her organizational help, added a vibrant voice to the panel. Sarah grew up in Southwest France and is a strong supporter of small farmers.
On the panel, we were also lucky to have Brittany Dooling, a first generation farmer from Maryland’s Flying Plow Farm, and Jerry Hagstrom, a prize-winning agriculture journalist who writes for the National Journal and publishes the Hagstrom Report.
